Meet Our Nurse Practitioners
Michelle Dosa, MSN ARNP
Michelle has been a registered nurse since 1991. She graduated from the University of Washington School of nursing, and gained valuable experience in pediatrics, high-risk labor and delivery, mother-newborn care and gynecologic surgery prior to pursuing a new career path more suitable to her family life.
With a desire to provide compassionate care for women throughout the lifespan, Michelle pursued her master’s degree in nursing from Pacific Lutheran University and became board certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner in 1998. Her professional interests include adolescent health promotion, infertility and menopausal mid-life changes. As co-owner of Advanced Women’s Health, Michelle takes pride in the Company’s unique approach to Women’s Healthcare.
Outside of practicing medicine, Michelle enjoys a second career in corporate and private event planning. Personal interests include traveling with her husband and children, cooking, gardening and spending time at home playing with her dogs.
Darla Smedley, MSN ARNP
Darla has been a registered nurse since 1979. She attended the University of Washington Nursing School and received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University. She became Board Certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 1998.
Darla’s professional experience includes all aspects of adolescent and female health care. With 20 years experience in inpatient labor and delivery, mother-newborn and gynecologic surgery, Darla brings a special compassion and knowledge base to her patients. Her professional interests include adolescent health, menopausal midlife changes, and preventative care throughout the life span of women.
As owner of Advanced Women’s Health, Darla strives to assure that each patient’s individual needs are addressed and expectations are met.
Darla enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending sporting events, gardening, and at home with her many animals.
Family Practice Providers
Lydia Miller, ARNP
Lydia has been working in healthcare since 2000 when she became a licensed midwife. She enjoyed helping new families throughout the childbearing year. Wanting to expand her scope of practice, she decided to return to school, attending Pacific Lutheran University’s Nurse Practitioner program. She became Board Certified in Family Practice in 2007 and has since worked in a variety of areas, including Family Practice, Emergency Care and Walk-in Clinic services.
As a partner in patient care, Lydia values an open, respectful and nonjudgmental relationship and looks forward to working with the patients at Advanced Women’s Health to achieve their health goals. She believes in the connection of mind, body and spirit, understands the importance of a healthy lifestyle to promote well-being and considers it a privilege to be a part of that process for her patients.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys the challenge of running half marathons and discovering healthy recipes to cook with her children.
Carmela Perez, MSN, ARNP
Carmela has worked in the medical field since 2007. Her career thus far has
ranged from work within medical and surgical units in Las Vegas to ensuring the
safety and education of patients in a local gastroenterology clinic.

Katie Davenport, LMP
Katie achieved her massage certification at Ashmead and expanded her skills with advanced courses in Hot Stone Massage, Quick Release, and Spa Applications.
She is passionate about massage as a part of self-care and strives to use her versatile technique and gentle touch to invoke a sense of total wellness.
Katie treasures spending time with her family and her two dogs, and enjoys cooking, reading, hiking and fishing.
Acupuncture & East Asian Medicine
Natalie S. King EAMP
Natalie is a licensed and board certified acupuncturist. She received her
Master's degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from Seattle Institute of
Oriental Medicine. Natalie has also completed training in the Mei Zen Cosmetic
Acupuncture System. She believes the body has an innate intelligence and
capacity for healing, and that acupuncture powerfully stimulates the body's own
healing mechanisms, leading to increased vitality, resistance to disease, and
freedom from pain. She is passionate about helping people achieve better health
through the techniques of acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
